Due to the nature of the business, a critical aspect of the role will be to manage the inventory/COGS accounting process. If there was one recurring question asked, I'd say it was around experience with inventory and COGS which should be expected for the Controller role at a company like Prose.
They asked why I was interested in the role, given that I had more international experience and the position was focused on U.S.-based operations. I explained that I had originally assumed the Controller role covered the entire organization, but I remained interested because the opportunity aligned with my values, allowed for remote work, and offered the chance to contribute meaningfully to a mission I deeply respect.
