Describe a stress-strain curve for a metal. Is there a difference in the stress-strain curve of steel and hardened steel? What is a project that you have done that you are really proud of?
Cantilever beam, rock on a boat question (does the water level rise or fall when you throw the rock into the water), open refrigerator in a room question (does the temperature in the room increase or decrease when the refrigerator door is left open)
That person may ask a few technical questions ie. AC-DC conversion, or ask YOU to EXPLAIN the properties of a stress-strain curve relative to particular materials. Then you go to an interview process with a variety of other managers from the department. In each interview, take note of the questions and the RIGHT answer because they often duplicate questions. You may have a "take-home" project, lots of work and not very parameters. They want you to be creative.
