I initiated the warm up conversation. I was cut off and asked to walk through my resume. There was no prompting or follow up questions. I would pause and ask for feedback. Half way through I was cut off again, and asked what in my background made me want to work for Starbucks. Keep in mind I exceeded their qualification expectations, with over 20 years in multi-unit retail leadership, including being a Regional Sales Director for a Fortune 40 company. The experience was nothing like what their recruiter had set as the expectation.
