They asked about past experience, and about my familiarity with cannabis culture, products, strains, etc. Most of the interview was just them going over my resume and cover letter, and asking for more detail about the things I listed. The writing prompt was a pitching exercise (or so I thought) where they wanted story ideas for a one-off article, a recurring column, and a longform feature.
