The interviewer will try to gain an idea of your competency with various electrician jobs and your ability to adhere to proper safety requirements. When there was (surprised) silence on my part at the low salary offered, (which I have learned they are expectant of and, have a rehearsed pitch ready for) I was told/asked is not cost of living (i.e. rent/food) one's highest expenditures? Well, could I argue with the low salary if I was assured it would cost almost nothing for rent or food? (Both basically company subsidized.)

Online phsychometric test. A bunch of tests where you were told at the start you wouldn't have near enough time to complete them. Maths were easy enough, proof reading was easy enough. Engineering questions when you're 17, just guess work...then the last one..150 questions in 5 mins. All to do with the the way switches are pointing. I got 16 out of 150 and funnily enough my pal who applied answered 3. He got through to the next stage. He's admitted he's not even that bothered and he probably won't even turn up for the practical assessment. To say I am gutted is an understatement.
