Skills: ventilating apneic PT: know how to measure NPA/OPA, if gag reflex then switch from OPA to NPA, ventilation rate, suction/log roll if vomit, etc. bleeding/shock control: pressure, tourniquet, packing wound, second tourniquet if bleeding continues - review shock protocol stabilizing ABC's: hyperventilating? coach breathing/cover the basics before assuming PE, cardiac issues, asthma, etc. bc maybe its a panic attack The sit down interview follows the skills portion so I'd recommend reviewing APGAR, BEFAST (reference SD stroke protocol), when to start compressions on choking PT, when to switch off during CPR compressions, compression rate per min.
