The goal is to create a full-stack application using all technologies they internally use. -Build a backend and API for real estate properties. -Implement filters (by name, address, and price range). - Create DTOs with (specific DB parameters tied to their bussiness operations) and one image. - Develop a frontend to list and filter properties. - Make the UI responsive and allow property detail views. - Write unit tests with NUnit for both backend and frontend. - Provide documentation, follow clean architecture, and optimize performance.
Questions about choices made within the project presented, ranging from architectural to technological choices, made up a substantial amount of the time. The interviewers were very good at maintaining a friendly atmosphere and were very much interested in discussing topics in relation to something I was familiar with, not generic programming concepts, i.e. we didn't just go through a list of questions about sorting algorithms, iteration vs recursion, object inheritance, etc. We also discussed other projects or interests on my CV and how/if I'd linked software development skills into them or vice versa.
