Entry Level Marketing Representative Interview Questions

113 entry level marketing representative interview questions shared by candidates

I came fully prepared expecting questions regarding my former positions and experiences, projects I've worked on, Leadership skills I've developed and events I'd planned. Instead I was given a vague description of the company and their at first seemingly attractive promotions plan and then was then sent on my way. I wasn't asked any questions in the first or third interview. I was asked several in the second: -Tell me why you can be trained in the minimum amount of time on our average training timeline -Why are we in large retailers? -Why do clients seek Momentum out? (I think several people are anxious for this answer) -Name 2-4 marketing techniques that you observe during the product launch event.

I was asked to tell the person who gave me my second round interview 3 things that were positive about myself and 3 things that were negative about myself in a "work related aspect." This was surprisingly difficult for me because I didn't want to bash myself so as to not get a job offer when it came to the negatives. I also never really thought about what my negatives were when it came to my work habits, which gave me some ideas on where I need to improve. I was also asked to describe what the word "failure" meant to me without saying the opposite of how I would describe the word "success." Definitely made me think outside the box, which is what they are looking for.
