The most odd question was from their CEO who asked me (after my 2nd interview meeting with him) if I had any prior controller experience. It became very obvious that he had not actually reviewed my resume nor could he recall my initial meeting with him as he would have known that I had 15 years controller experience (as well as a CPA and MBA) and would have been perfect for the role.
Describe a challenge you have faced in your previous role and how did you handle it?
Many questions about how to lead the team, forecast the business, oversee both legal and finance teams, how to strategically think about business problems and work cross functionally.
