The interview was heavily focused on sales history rather than talent or qualification as a designer. The manager didn't even ask to see my portfolio, which I had just picked up from the print shop that morning. All she wanted to know was what my sales numbers were at my previous company (but I was a proper designer, not a salesperson, so I didn't have numbers to give her).
