The hiring manager insisted that one phrase in my mock presentation was wrong and that it meant something else (note: the phrase was selected from a highly cited and influential academic article, and mentioned in most popular management and organization practitioner books (e.g. HBR). One of the strangest interviews I experienced. Could have been a test of how I handle rude and imbecile comments, but then again, could have just been a hiring manager's pet peeve.
