Management Position At Cornwall, Corporate Office Interview

      Jul 4, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Vancouver, BC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at lululemon (Vancouver, BC) in May 2019

      Interview

phone 35mins 1st interview Because the interviewers do not give an open introduction about Lululemon, it's difficult to understand the company's needs or culture. As a result, it's difficult to answer questions without much context or what you can offer to help the company or team. I don't believe they have a HR department. Most of the recruitment are done online or via headhunters. Interviews are administered by managers. However, they will deny or omit their subject matter of expertise, which again leaves you grabbing in the dark of how detailed should you be in answering their questions: Watered-down version or detailed version? Finally, during QA session near the end of the interviewed, I asked what quality or characteristics of a candidate they are looking to hire? The response was, they are a very customer-oriented company, therefore, the candidate is able to work in a fast-pace environment to meet the demands of the customers on a regular basis. Meaning, overtime hours on regular basis to meet customers demands...? It seems there's a lot of cash within the company to spend, however, not much strategies or planning are involved, which was the impression I got from the interviews. Very reactive environment.
