Math Teacher Interview Questions
"Teaching math at the elementary, middle, and high school level is an involved position that requires patience and a commitment to helping each student achieve success at an appropriate level. Students often need extra attention in this subject, so employers are looking for instructors who not only have a firm grasp of their subject, but can also impart that knowledge in engaging and effective ways. Expect to answer questions about your teaching experience and style as well as how you would handle a variety of classroom scenarios. While teaching credentials are required at public schools, this is often not the case at private schools."

What Inspired You to Become a Teacher?
How would you get along with a co-teacher when you absolutely disagree.
What do you do in the face of adversity?
I don't think they know what they are looking for based on their line of questioning. The project itself was a 3 step process. This position would not even be necessary if they actually hired fully bilingual certified Math teachers or if they invested in training all of their tutors in best practices for ELLs. I know a few excellent Math teachers who are bilingual but I wouldn't recommend them to invest their time interviewing for them.
How would you handle a classroom with students of varying abilities?
What kind of time can you offer to this role?
What strategy works best to assess how students grasped the day's content?
