The interview questions were well considered and relevant to the post. The interviewees were professional and friendly. Flags for me were around internal buying of the membership function within the wider organisation. My ability to influence internal stakeholders in order to raise credibility ran throughout as a theme of the interview. Once the offer of a second interview was withdrawn because somebody from another department had overridden the hiring managers opinion, the questions around internal buy in and credibility made sense! Perhaps it’s just the hierarchical company culture at the organisation I have always been fortunate enough to work for organisations where as the hiring manager, I have full autonomy to interview and place who I want in my team. It told me everything I needed to know about the company and people culture, so thank you!
