Two phone screens, take home design challenge, then onsite with several rounds of interview, including another design challenge and portfolio review. Very long and grueling but the recruiter and manager were great.
I applied online. I interviewed at nCino in Aug 2020
Interview
A phone screening interview consisting of typical questions regarding your design process, recent projects, etc. Unfortunately I did not make it past this round of interviews. The recruiter promised to get back to me regarding next steps by the end of the week once she consulted with the hiring manager, but I never got a response so I followed up. I received a rejection which is understandable, but don't promise to follow up with your candidates "by the end of the week" with the intention of ghosting them. Especially in the middle of a pandemic. Just let us know on the phone if it isn't a good fit or at least send a rejection e-mail within 24 hours. I don't mean to sound bitter, but this left a bad taste in my mouth. I was really excited about the position and potentially moving to a city and company that seems to foster a great sense of community.
