As a writer with this organization, one must have a grasp of AP style and the NPR voice. There are no tricks to the interview. They only hire capable writers who can turn around 400 words in 30 minutes. If you pass the test you are 90 percent of the way there. They will ask you if you can work cheap, and that may be hard to answer convincingly.
