Why are you leaving a large tech firm after so many years of service?

They asked a lot of questions about my experience and how I would apply it in a variety of different scenarios. It was very conversational and did not feel like a test type interview. They more were getting a feel for who I was and the type of experiences I had that I could bring to their company.

The interview took an unconventional route, with the hiring manager arriving slightly behind schedule and adopting a more impromptu style, focusing less on standard questions and more on an open dialogue.

Nothing really that difficult, however I was a bit overwhelmed by the scope of the need. They were (are) implementing several major process and infrastructure changes simultaneously. At any other company I've worked with, you'd do no more than one or two of these at a time, but here, they are going all-in in all directions right from the beginning.
