I was asked a few critical thinking nursing questions, the one I remember the best was something like "You have a patient who is post-op (ortho surgery, knee or hip?). The patient is doing well when all the sudden you are called to the room and the patient is having sharp chest pain and shortness of breath"..and maybe they added another symptom or two...can't remember exactly. I was asked what I would suspect was going on with the patient based on scenario.
