What insights and questions would you ask about this particular data set?
They asked about my experience managing projects and how I handle resistance from stakeholders. The technical portion included an Excel exercise (mainly using VLOOKUP, IF, COUNTA, COUNT, etc.) on a virtual desktop that lagged frequently, likely due to internet speed. The SQL exercise used outdated software with no autocomplete or script support, requiring manual coding for basic queries and INNER JOINs to combine tables, sort results, and present findings. The computer provided had only a single small screen with no option to project your work, which made it more difficult to manage multiple windows and added frustration during an already stressful process. Candidates should be prepared for these technical and environmental challenges, as they differ from the tools and setups common in modern industry environments.

General background questions - nothing too technical
There were technical/analytical questions with the hiring manager, but no living coding. I was provided a case study before the onsite interview and was asked to present through PPT during the onsite interview for 1 hour (including time for questions). The technical/analytical section includes SQL questions and a lot of statistical/modeling questions. R and Python questions were asked based on candidates' background. Behavioral questions were then covered in the next 2 sections.
I had done my homework and came in prepared, so none of the questions were really unexpected or things I hadn't been asked before in interviews with other companies. It was more of a "let's get to know you and you can get to know us" kind of experience.
Basic interview questions, getting to know the candidate, letting them know about the role. Technical questions were also pretty straightforward.
