I thought it was going to be collaborative, but instead it was just a one-sided coding exercise - just me writing SQL while sitting there as my interviewer said nothing. Zero collaboration, or even back and forth. Oh, and besides that, they asked one of those "brain teaser" type questions that involve SQL that you'll never see in the real world - the answer involved joining a dimension table to a sales table using a cartesian. Yeah, that's really what you want your engineers to do - cross join millions of dimension records to billions of fact records, brilliant.
