The coding question was fairly basic, not too hard. The design question was a mostly impossible question on a totally unrelated field to data engineering. I would expect this sort of question, if they were hiring for a game engineer or something like that, but, this was for a data engineering role. Even if you had experience with the question they asked, it would have still been incredibly challenging to answer.
