- Some hyper-technical questions on their systems while the job was for a senior engineering manager / engineering director. I believe these were unusual questions for an executive job, but I understand that a deep technical knowledge on their systems was very important for them.
General management behavioral questions, about your background/experience. Technical rounds are more scenario based problem solving questions. Really enjoyed the entire interview process and the team. Everyone is very professional and HR recruiter/coordinators are on top of things. I liked the Hiring manager and the team interviewed me. He just asked 2 questions. 1) What is your difficult engineering problem you have solved? 2) design application like https://www.thiswebsitewillselfdestruct.com/ This application will self-destruct if no one sends a message for 24 hours. Is it a worthwhile , valid problem statement to understand, evaluate a candidate? This interview lasted only for 30 minutes even though it was scheduled for 1 hour and He concluded that I am fit for Principal Engg and Not for EM. During the interview starting time he clearly said that he will ask 2 to 3 questions and it will take only 30 minutes. He did not ask any questions related to EM role and low Level design questions as well. He totally wasted my time and there was no difference between the previous round and this round. While I was explaining he was writing something and did not even bother to listen. So don't waste your time attending these company interviews.
