Generic questions about past experience. There were no open-ended questions or any questions specific to the employer's current challenges. As a result, the process is very biased. Candidates would proceed to the next steps only if their approach to their past experience fits what the interviewer has in mind, which makes matters worse when the interviewer is not experienced enough.
My approach to working with product managers.
The CTO asked me about my experience, what I'm looking for in a new role. Was more about finding the right role vs interviewing. The conversations I had with the Director or Eng and VP of Sales were more casual and were definitely behavioral in nature. Chat with the CEO was casual and was more about getting excited in the role.
