I don’t remember any specific questions. The conversation portion was very short and informal. They asked me to do a large design assessment. Like 15-20 hours of work.
One standout question they asked was: ‘How do you balance creative freedom with brand consistency when leading a campaign?’ It really struck me because it speaks to the heart of senior design leadership. I shared how I approach brand guidelines not as limitations, but as a framework for storytelling. I gave an example from a fashion campaign where I introduced hand-drawn elements and AI-enhanced textures that stayed true to the brand’s tone but added a fresh, emotional layer. They appreciated that I could push creative boundaries while still honoring the brand’s identity—and that I could mentor others to do the same.
I was ask about my resume history, why there were some gaps within my work history and why I left each company. I was also asked about how I would approach certain projects and examples they gave me as well.
