Statistician Interview Questions

"When you interview for a position as a statistician, you can expect to be asked about your knowledge of statistics, analytical and critical thinking skills, and your ability to draw conclusions from gathered data. Prepare to answer situational questions that may require you to analyze a set of data and explain its meaning or design an experiment to gather important statistical data. Your employer will want to make sure you can use your theoretical knowledge of statistics to solve hands-on, real world problems."

The most difficult question was in the form of a riddle/puzzle. I've heard of those types of questions being asked...and they are mostly to see how you work through problems. Ask questions, work through it etc...don't be afraid to get it wrong. If you get it wrong, just figure out what to do next and talk through the process.

Lots of questions relating to interest in the position and career goals. Not nearly as many specific technical questions; at least compared to other current interviews. Many where "tell us about a time" or "do you have experience with"
