Enquires in the second interview were mainly on which vendors/ contractors were used, what were the contacts available which made the interview process unpleasant since it should be on the problem solving skills not on list of vendors that i had contacts with.
During the interviews, the interviewers seemed to follow a list of HR-approved questions, which were quite generic and standard, but they mixed in some role-specific questions of their own. The hiring managers, however, appeared to focus on questions that implied they were looking for a chemical engineering or science background. Since my background is not in these fields, I was left wondering where the disconnect occurred in matching my qualifications with their requirements.
