Q.) They wanted to know how much I have explored about HortonWorks and HDP. Their competitors, little discussion on Sandbox etc. Q.) Since I was from a Linux /Cluster/Virtualization background, questions were focused mostly on Linux basics. Also, discussion on little advance topics like coredump analysis , analysis on call traces, System Parameter tuning. Little on performance based questions also ( simple questions on top, meminfo, cpuinfo, vmstat etc. ). Q.) Also, little discussion on Cluster - HA, Hearbeat, Quorum, fencing, failover etc in a generic way and at a high level. Q.) I remember also that some Linux basic questions on "vi" editor and options were asked. Q.) Question about support process, customer focus, issue handling, customer handling, escalation procedure, raising Bug, involving multiple teams , on call, etc were asked. Q.) Questions on DNS, Internet, IP, networking etc. were asked. Q.) They asked if I was comfortable on answering on HDP and Hadoop, but I said no. I was not asked further on this.
