Technical Writer Interview Questions
"Employers hiring technical writers want candidates with the technical knowledge and written communication skills to simplify complex concepts. In an interview, be prepared to discuss your writing experience and provide an example of a time you explained a difficult idea to a group or classroom. Your interviewer may also quiz you on technical concepts or ask you to engage in a written exercise."

What if you get married tomorrow?
What are your greatest weaknesses?
All three interviews were quite straightforward. Review of previous documents written and discussion of my experience and ability to perform the job.

They asked, looking at my resume, if there was anything I wanted them to ask me.
They asked detailed questions about my understanding of the technology. This was not unexpected, but I got the impression they wanted me to have a strong aptitude for technology--not just an ability to write about it, but a love of learning it and an ability to understand it well.
Why do you want to work here?
Why would you fit into their corporate climate (they tell you nobody leaves once they get hired, but a little research shows high job turnover, esp. in the writing team). Such incongruities undermined the interview for me. Perhaps it would be your cup of tea. I don't sense corroboration or collegiate work ethic.
