Situation: In one of my Google client projects, I was working on a release that had very tight deadlines. During the final regression testing, we found a critical defect that was breaking a core workflow. Task: I was responsible for identifying the root cause, validating the issue, and ensuring the fix did not affect other functionalities. Action: I quickly analyzed the logs, reproduced the issue, and reported it with clear steps and screenshots. I coordinated with the developer to confirm the cause, and once the fix was provided, I immediately re-tested it. I also ran additional regression test cases—both manual and automation—to ensure there were no side effects. Result: We were able to resolve the issue within the same day, and the release went live without further defects. My proactive communication helped the team avoid a release delay.
