Acumen, LLC conducts policy research in support of federal, state, and local health care and social policy programs. We leverage our vast data resources to improve information available to policy makers on topics such as drug and vaccine safety; health insurance markets; value-based purchasing; and health care fraud.

Acumen, LLC, in conjunction with its affiliated firm, The SPHERE Institute, offers policy makers a powerful policy analysis capability, providing specific, impartial advice, and context for policy debates.

Our work reflects our belief that policy makers, health care providers, and public should have the best available information upon which to base their decisions.

Policy Areas

Acumen’s research focuses on the areas of health, labor and social policy. In particular, Acumen has developed an expertise in topics such as: comparative effectiveness research, value-based purchasing, drug safety, drug pricing, expenditure forecasting, and outcomes measurement for various health, welfare, education and labor programs.

Clients

Acumen provides consulting and research services to national, state, and local governments, as well as to non-profits. We cater primarily to federal agencies within the Department of Health and Human Services.
