Description Soy far, soy good for Ag Processing (AGP), one of the largest soybean processors in the world -- it processes 16,000 acres worth of soybeans at nine mills every day. AGP's chief soybean products are refined vegetable oil and commercial animal feed and feed additives. The cooperative provides grain marketing and transportation services for its 250,000 member/farmers, whose farms are located in Canada and 18 US states. It also offers corn-based ethanol and soybean-based bio-diesel. Consisting mostly of midwestern farmers, AGP's members are represented through 184 local and regional co-ops. AGP also owns Masterfeeds, a Canadian animal feed company and Proagro, a Venezuelan poultry processor.

AGP is a leading U.S. agribusiness with primary operations as a soybean processor/refiner producing and marketing soybean meal, refined soybean oil, and biodiesel. Since its formation in 1983, AGP has grown in size, scope, and reputation — both in the U.S. and internationally. Today, our owners include local and regional cooperatives representing approximately 200,000 farmers throughout the U.S. We operate 10 soybean processing plants in Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and South Dakota, as well as four soybean oil refineries, and three biodiesel production facilities. In addition to our commodity-based products, AGP produces and markets AminoPlus®, a high-performance soy bypass protein product for the dairy industry.

Nearly 500 people attended the Grand Opening Ceremony for AGP's new soybean processing and degumming facility in David City, NE on July 17th. The weather was perfect for the AGP employees, member cooperatives, and other guests who celebrated the big day. The state-of-the-art facility can process over 50 million bushels of soybeans and produce nearly 700 million pounds of degummed oil per year....Show more
