Description CRT started in 1985 with a handful of experienced employees. Gradually, we acquired more personnel, equipment & capabilities. Today, over 400 people work for CRT. We perform a wide variety of processes in-house, including machining, thermal spray applications, welding, heat treat, chrome & nickel plating, shot peening, nondestructive testing, visual & dimensional inspection, acid & alkaline cleaning.

Through hard work, dedication to quality, & competitive pricing, the company quickly became the preferred vendor for its product lines. As individuals, & as a company, we do everything possible to maintain our product integrity & service at competitive prices.

In addition, most of our employees have many years of experience in their field of expertise. Repairing aircraft engine parts is often more of an art than a science. In this business each person's skills & ideas contribute to our success. Opportunities for personal & professional growth are high in this type of environment.

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. (CRT) began as a locally family-owned business, with operations in Mentor, OH since 1985, and grew into a global leader (500+ employees) in the aerospace MRO sector. Specializing in the repair and overhaul of turbine engine components, CRT proudly serves the world’s largest airlines and jet engine manufactures. Component Repair Technologies is focused on our valued employees, customers, and community.

In 2025, CRT became a Safran Aircraft Engines company as a Center of Excellence for the repair of large jet engine parts in the Americas.

For over 120 years, Safran, through its Aircraft Engines subsidiary, designs, produces, markets and supports, alone or in partnership, aircraft engines offering world-class performance and reliability. Its core purpose is to contribute to a safer, more sustainable world, where air transport is more environmentally friendly, comfortable and accessible.
