Description HPU is a private comprehensive institution, rooted in the liberal arts, with 4,573 undergraduate and graduate students from 45 states and 43 countries. High Point University currently offers 42 undergraduate majors, 51 undergraduate minors and 12 graduate degree programs, including a doctoral program in educational leadership and two more doctoral programs proposed for 2017.

The High Point University Panthers compete in 16 NCAA Div. I sports and are members of the Big South Conference. HPU also provides 32 club sports and more than 100 student clubs and organizations.
