For more than 30 years, Boundless has been providing valuable programs and services to thousands of individuals with developmental disabilities throughout Franklin County.

A private, not-for-profit organization, Boundless offers unique residential and family support programs that are customized to meet the evolving needs of every individual.

The innovative team-based approach to care recognizes the uniqueness of each individual and provides opportunities for them to become an integral part of their community. From residential options to employment assistance and social connections, Boundless celebrates each individual and the gifts they have to offer, and encourages them to become active participants in the neighborhoods where they live, work, and play.

We Are Boundless!

Boundless is more than a company name. It's a statement about who we are and what we believe. For more than forty years, we have provided people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and behavioral health challenges the freedom and opportunity to live boundless lives.

Our History

Founded in 1980 as Franklin County Residential Services, we have grown from a modest, centralized organization into a dynamic family of nonprofits engaged with I/DD and behavioral health communities across the state. From residential support and vocational habilitation to primary care and behavioral health, our approach to whole-person care celebrates each individual and empowers them to become active participants in the communities where they live, work, and play.

Our Future

The Boundless mission is to build a world that realizes the boundless potential of all people. Everything we do is in furtherance of that mission and shaped by our values of love, respect, empowerment, excellence, and well-being. We are constantly looking for ways to better serve the I/DD and behavioral health communities.

We had such a wonderful time yesterday celebrating our Champion of the Year, Kristen Messer! After a short ceremony where Kristen received her award and some words of appreciation were spoken, everyone gathered for a little social time and cupcakes. Today's Social Worker Spotlight is on Kendra! Q. What is your favorite part of being a social worker with Boundless? A. My favorite part is working with the kids every day. I like getting to be a support for them through their ups and downs and come alongside them to help them learn new skills. Q. What inspired you to go into social work? A. I went into social work because I really wanted to work with people. I was interested in psychology in college but was struggling to find a career I could do with a psychology degree. I took a healthcare exploration class in college, thinking maybe I could be a nurse. But I learned what social work was, and I felt like it was exactly what I had wanted to do in the first place. Q. What is one myth about being a social worker you want to bust? A. Before I knew what social work was, I thought it was just CPS, and they come to take your kids away. Before I started studying social work, I didn't know how broad the field was. Social workers do all kinds of things, from advocacy to therapy to connecting people with resources. ...Show more
