Mission At Novant Health, we will embrace the changing healthcare landscape and will remain true to our commitment to patient safety, quality, health equity and the human experience. We are united by a shared Cause.
Our Cause We create a healthier future and bring remarkable experiences to life.
The four pillars of Our Cause are:
Discover. We consistently seek to innovate, courageously transform ourselves and find new ways to add value for our patients, communities and one another.
Empower. We provide one another, our patients, families and communities with the resources and environment to create shared accountability and action.
Thrive. We demonstrate equity, empathy, safety and quality to help each other, and our communities, grow and succeed.
Together. We work as a trusted team with our unique perspectives, life experiences and expertise to bring remarkable to life in every interaction. We all belong.
Description We're a not-for-profit system, which means the revenue we generate goes back into our people and our communities, not to shareholders. That matters when it comes to decisions about pay, staffing, and how we treat the people doing the hardest work. Across our 19 medical centers and 850+ locations in the Carolinas, we support nearly six million patient visits a year — and we need clinical staff who feel supported enough to actually deliver on that.
On pay: we committed over $300 million in salary increases and bonuses in 2025. We benchmark against the market regularly because we know you have options in this market, and we'd rather invest in the people we have than constantly recruit to replace them.
On growth: last year we launched Future Forward — prepaid tuition up to a certain amount per year for full-time team members, available from your first day. Whether you want to advance your nursing credentials, move into a specialty, or explore something entirely different, the cost isn't on you.
On life outside work: flexible scheduling is something we take seriously across our clinical teams, because we know the toll shift work takes over time. We also offer mental health and wellness support such as counseling, mindfulness resources, and stress management — because we think that matters for the people giving care, not just receiving it.
We're spread across Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Wilmington, and communities throughout the Carolinas. Different markets and different teams, but the same standard: patients feel seen, heard, and cared for. And so do the people taking care of them.
If you're weighing your options, we'd like to be in that conversation.
