Our colleagues in India are battling a true crisis. The sudden spike in Covid cases has brought a major shock to India’s healthcare system and is ravaging much of the population. Many of our own team members have been devastatingly impacted by this. There are no hospital beds, with oxygen and medical equipment in low supply. Our teams locally have done an incredible job supporting one another by using their resources to find medical care for one another and keeping encouraged during this difficult time. United Way has launched an India COVID-19 Relief Fund on Philanthropy Cloud – these funds are being used to supply medical equipment to hospitals, and to provide shelter, hygiene and food kits. Synoptek employees can contribute directly via Philanthropy Cloud (India COVID-19 Relief Fund). In parallel, Synoptek is collecting and distributing donations to the wife and two young children of a beloved team member who recently lost his battle with COVID19.
