Description VITAS Healthcare, founded in 1978, is a national leader in hospice and palliative care with a presence in 15 states and Washington, DC. We provide support in a variety of settings, including hospitals, inpatient units, and wherever a patient calls home, such as a private residence, senior living community, or skilled nursing facility.
