John Wyeth & Brother handles the family business in Europe. The company, which does business as Wyeth Laboratories, is the UK subsidiary of American drug firm Wyeth. Its products include protein therapeutics, the rheumatoid arthritis treatment Enbrel, the influenza vaccines Begrivac and Agrippal, and other medications for depression, hemophilia, cancer, and bacterial infections. The company has branched out into orthopedic therapies by developing special bandages to help bone fractures heal. Wyeth Laboratories also performs some of its parent's research and development operations. Parent Wyeth has agreed to be acquired by top drugmaker Pfizer.
