The Company Is Being Run Into the Ground

Pros

The olden days when the company cared about excellence

Cons

The first nail in the coffin was when the company sold its soul for a certain large client. Those in charge allowed the contract to put the company over a barrel with a hostile partner and then had to bend to their every whim. The second nail in the coffin was the sale to Thoma Bravo. Mr Bottin got super rich and left town. Company culture was then thrown out the window. The final nail is the one that's been being hammered in for the last two years. Mass exodus of veteran talent because we just couldn't take it any more. We didn't mind working hard for people that were also invested in succeeding. The new management doesn't know what the company does, they haven't bothered to get to know the teams they're over, and they think they have all of the answers because they read a "Trends in the Fitness Industry" pamphlet. I know of multiple managers that were hired and have never bothered to try to win their teams. The best way to understand what your team does is to spend a little bit of time with each, learning what each of them does, listening to what's good and what's bad, and then working with the team to try to make things better. Nobody that Thoma Bravo has brought in is concerned with what the company does. They only care about what the company is going to do in the future with new technology projects. Except those projects constantly get shelved because they've made bad decisions regarding staffing, priorities, and just generally not understanding anything. I didn't want to leave. I had a lot of loyalty to the company after several years. But I could no longer abide the clown show the company had become.

ABC is in the midst of a transformation and is poised for growth. Both the leaders and our board are invested in the organization's and employees' success and while it may not feel the same as before, we believe we are on the appropriate trajectory and have been steadily building a culture of empathy and accountability and leading through our Core Values. We do nurture open communication in many forms and not only do we encourage feedback we actually communicate action plans each time openly. We appreciate your feedback.

Toxic leadership. Some great people!

Pros

A lot of the people working at ABC Financial are talented, hard-working, good people. There are not a lot of better software development companies in Little Rock. The company provides good opportunities to start at an entry level position and make a career, even in a different field than what you started in. Just be careful where that career takes you, and what it makes you!

Cons

The place is probably run like Trump's companies. The CEO enjoys seeing people fight, and setting people up for conflict, failure, or anxiety. He used to be directly abusive, but he's reined that in a bit. Still, he promotes the most toxic, evil people in the company into leadership positions, and rewards them for hateful behavior. If you are in a leadership position, and you are not toxic, you won't last long. There is no professionalism at the management level - yell and fight, or you are out. I had a good manager, but he went quick.

Pros

If possible look elsewhere but if you must ruin your health then work with ABC Financial. Working from home is always a plus. Keep in mind as long as you have the correct management otherwise being on your own will only cause a level of stress you cannot imagine. For 11 dollars is not worth the medical bills you will get to pay.

Cons

Management will only reach out to you to write you up. Training will be mostly about their old school system but not on how to deal with abusive customers. Try to complain about something be rest assured you will be written up for something after that. Promotions are somewhat non existent since the ones already promoted are there to stay or they will pick a favorite. Honestly look somewhere else.
