Great Coworkers, Lame Company Administration
Pros
The people I worked with in the clinic were mostly amazing, genuine, and good people. I got great experience right after getting my B.S. before applying to medical school.
Cons
The administration sucks and some of the certified medical assistants should've been let go long ago. Administration is struggling to manage new practices it acquires and clearly only focuses on the bottom line, eg not replacing low quality employees because as long as the work gets done (by someone else), there's no reason to change what works. There's no loyalty to long-term employees, as demonstrated by the 8 veteran employees who were let go (some with 4 days' notice) or forced out in the 7 months i've been here... AND the company had no plan to replace those people until they were gone. the MAs who should've been let go are apathetic, poorly trained and refuse to learn, or simply have poor work ethic. It is disappointing to see these people make more money than so many others because they are Certified MAs when the others (and I) are not even though we all do the same job and they may be worse.
