Pros

Pretty close to none, the people on my team were great (although that is also if you're lucky enough to click with them until you move to a new project and start rebuilding relationships) The benefits are nice, RA, medical aid for you and a partner for free & life insurance, some good discounts on premade meals at local grocery stores (Woolies etc) But still none of it is worth it. The place is run to get the most out of you with the least for you. All these benefits are null and void with how badly their salaries have recently been compared to industry.

Cons

Where do I start, this place has been BY FAR THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER WORKED! Look you start off by being put on a random project, then if you are put on a bad project/mismanaged project etc you are stuck there, you are never made to feel valued or like you're contributing to anything. They are the most corporate soulless place I have witnessed. Straight from a movie. They have this warm inclusive tone in all their internal communication but in reality you couldn't mean less to anyone there. Even the culture seems to be that you are super replaceable and everyone will forgot you existed as soon as you leave. Right now Accenture finds themselves in a place where they aren't making enough money from acquisitions (which is basically how they got such large cash flows to start with) but now with AI acquisitions being so expensive they simply don't have the money and noone wants anything else except AI companies. They live on false claims to clients, even clients get bad mouthed behind their backs constantly, even THE EMPLOYEES. People talk behind your back and constantly bad mouth each other, but are super nice when those people are in the room. And this is done from the lowest to the highest level and never even addressed. Accenture simply is currently a storm of chaotic mismanagement, blame shifting, mixed with a bunch of employees who all think they have the answers and couldn't care less to reach the true answers together. Please Please do me a favor DO NOT LET THE INITIAL OFFER YOU RECEIVE MAKE YOU JOIN THIS COMPANY, the next raise will only be 2-3 years from now, the next promotion on average 4 years as things currently stand. They are essentially trying to make the company as terrible as they can so people leave and they don't have to pay them out because Accenture is currently in a bad spot, they are bleeding money. I have never witnessed so many high profile seniors who know so little about the industry they are in. I have learned more at a startup with "nobodies" than I have at this 'prestigious' consultancy which is more of a sinking ship now than ever. Lastly the worst work life balance in existence, constant crunch DAILY then you keep reworking everything which is also expected in 1 day and the cycle continues, also be expectant to work past 5pm weekly and getting messaged way after work hours and even weekends, no regard for your personal life.

Toxic and Racist Managers

Business Outlook

Pros

MNC company with good benefits despite low pay

Cons

Very toxic working environment with poor management culture. Managers and team leads seem to have little understanding of the actual staff workload and responsibilities, yet constantly micromanage every small thing. There is a strong blaming culture where employees are frequently criticised instead of supported. Staff are expected to work extra hours regularly without proper compensation or appreciation. Salary increments and bonuses are either extremely poor or nonexistent despite the workload increasing due to understaffing. Management appears unwilling to hire enough manpower, causing existing staff to become overworked and burned out. Employees are often attacked if they do not complete tasks at the speed management expects. Meetings are sometimes used as a platform to personally attack staff rather than resolve issues professionally, including questioning unrelated personal matters. Communication from management is often sarcastic, demotivating, and unprofessional. Employees are constantly given negative remarks but are not allowed to explain or defend themselves fairly. There is also a noticeable high turnover rate, with many employees resigning due to ongoing management issues and the overall working environment. There are also concerns about discriminatory behaviour during festive periods, where treatment and remarks towards staff feel unfair and inappropriate. Overall, the environment feels stressful, unfair, and lacking respect for employees’ wellbeing and contributions.
