Pros

I honestly can't think of any. As a former hourly employee, this is the worst company I ever worked for in my entire life and I'm 58 years old. It was a nightmare from day one.

Cons

1) Hourly minimum wage in one of the most expensive cities in America. 2) No access to drinking water for lot attendants. 3) No access to restrooms for lot attendants. 4) Closed shop. You must pay union dues to the AFL-CIO out of your minimum wages. 5) AFL-CIO is as worthless and corrupt as Ace management. 6) Abusive management. You will be treated like dirt. 7) Human Resources is a sad joke. 8) Extremely high turnover among hourly employees.

Pros

It is a local company in San Diego, and has been in business for nearly 60 years. Also has good market share in San Diego.

Cons

Disorganized, poor leadership, things change constantly (and not always for the right reasons), extremely high turn over and unhappy employees, low pay.

Pros

They offer benefits, though with such a huge out of pocket it doesn't matter, and they do not give you time off to use them.

Cons

A vicious learning curve. Within three weeks(the first one of which was only observation, no practice, the second the only one with any real training) I was on my own. I have never seen a company throw an employee to the wolves so quickly. They leave you in a position you cannot help but make mistakes because of lack of training, and their way of correcting is only to write you up, which seems unfair and terrifying WHEN YOU'RE STILL A TRAINEE. Also, don't ask them questions after this point, they will only sneer you should know that by now(despite it perhaps being something they never went over with you, and there were many things they didn't bother to go over with me) and it will be used against you. The managers are either phony-nice to you or emotionless and vicious. And no one in the company wants to converse because they're all afraid they'll be snitched on, so it's not at all a nice place to work, though at first they try to pretend it is. Don't work for these people if you value your sanity. They are two-faced, backstabbing scum.
