Pros

The people who work at AC are top tier and I love getting to work with them every day! The company offers great benefits, including a month-long sabbatical after 5 years. The company invests in their employees and helps with career growth and professional development. I’ve enjoyed working here for many years!

Cons

The environment is fast paced which is fun but can sometimes be intimidating

Thanks for sharing this. Five years is a long time, and the fact that you've enjoyed working here throughout that entire stretch says something real about the people and the environment! You're right that the people here are top tier! We're intentional about who we bring in and how we support them once they're here. The sabbatical benefit, career growth support, and professional development investments are all part of that commitment, and we're glad they've made a difference for you. On the fast-paced environment, it's energizing when things are moving, but it can also feel intimidating when the speed picks up. That's a tension we're constantly managing as we grow. We aim for fast-paced and high-performing every single day. We appreciate you being here for five years and contributing to what makes this place work - here's to the next chapter! If you have additional thoughts, please share with your manager, leadership, or HRBP.

The kind of people who make a good job a great one

Pros

The people here are great and I genuinely look forward to team meetings. There's real camaraderie, a lot of laughs, and a collective energy that makes the work feel worthwhile. Leadership puts real effort into maintaining in-person connection, with regular hub gatherings that don't feel forced. The Chicago office is a standout — great location, very spacious, solid perks that you'll actually use. Comp is fair and competitive, and career growth isn't just a talking point. If you show initiative and put in the effort, there are real paths forward and people who will advocate for you.

Cons

The pace is fast. Workloads can spike and priorities shift quickly. That said, the effort you put in is noticed and rewarded, so the energy rarely feels wasted. It's less of a grind and more of a high-bar culture.

Thanks for taking the time to share this! The fact that you genuinely look forward to team meetings because of the people and the energy says a lot. That's not something you can manufacture with perks or policies alone. We're glad the camaraderie, the hub gatherings, and the Chicago office are delivering, and that career growth feels real rather than just something we say in onboarding. You're right that the pace is fast and workloads can spike when priorities shift. We operate in a space that moves quickly, and that can create pressure. The fact that it feels like a high-bar culture rather than a grind, and that effort gets noticed and rewarded, is exactly the balance we're trying to strike! As we grow, we will be more thoughtful about how we manage capacity so people can manage their full mix of priorities - please reach out to your manager or leadership if you have additional feedback so we can get better at managing the peaks. We are so glad you are here and are contributing to what makes AC a great place to work!

Pros

Love the team that I work with and the people I am able to collaborate with across the company. I've been able to do so many new things and have never been told "no" when I had an idea I wanted to run with which has led to a lot of career growth. Great benefits/comp and the Chicago office is extremely nice! Plus the company truly seems to invest in engaging employees - there are constant virtual and live events that I look forward to like Families Day, the Holiday party, ERGs etc. Business wise I appreciate the pivot into an AI focus that the company has made over the last year. It makes a lot of sense and is necessary to keep us relevant. Leadership has been very transparent in communicating the why/how and our product advancements. I've been at AC for 4 years so I feel I have a pretty clear picture of the place I work at this point! Everywhere has its scars but - to me - the pros far outweigh the cons I've seen here and I've had a significantly better experience at AC than my previous companies.

Cons

The regular changes to the C-suite result in disruption, distraction, and extra work across the company that can take away from the core focus of the business

Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed review. Four years is long enough to have a real perspective on what works and what doesn't here, and we're glad the experience has been significantly better than your previous companies! You called out some things that matter a lot to us, including being able to run with ideas without being told "no," the investment in events and engagement, and the team collaboration. Those aren't accidents; they're choices we make about how we want to operate. The fact that you've been able to grow your career by taking initiative and trying new things is exactly what we want to enable! On the AI pivot, you're right that it's necessary to stay relevant, and we've been intentional about communicating the strategy clearly. The fact that it makes sense to you as someone who's been here through the evolution is a good signal that we're connecting the dots between where we've been and where we're going. We've recently stabilized our leadership team, and the focus now is on execution with consistency rather than continued updates. If you're seeing ongoing changes that pull focus from core work, that's worth raising with your manager, senior leader, or HRBP. For prospective employees reading this: ask about leadership stability, how strategic changes get communicated, and what support looks like when there are transitions. You should get honest answers about where we've been and where we're headed. We're glad you're still here and still enjoying the work after four years - that truly says something!
