They just don't care about you or your dog. They will tell you anything to get you in the door, then leave you high and dry.
Work locations are all over the place. Some guys were sent 2 1/2 hours away and offered no compensation for mileage or time spent driving. They really don't care were the client is vs. where the employees live. A contract means money and that's all that was important. Who wants to drive an hour to work for four hours then turn around and go back home all for a lousy $100?
You are required to train your dog EVERYDAY, including days off so that means you aren't getting compensated. The lousy stipend you get every month is not enough. Several lawsuits going on right now regarding that.
Scheduling was a joke because someone a few thousand miles away was doing it. NO communication in that department.
Want to get reimbursed for an expense you incurred? Parking, equipment, vet bill? Good luck with that.
Paycheck is wrong? Got shorted hours? Good luck with that. Could take several weeks or months to get it fixed. One guy was told that the dates he wanted compensated for were too long ago and the "books were closed" and he wasn't going to get anything! WTF?
Since there aren't enough dog teams on site for large events, dogs can't take breaks and get overworked quickly. When your dog limps around 100 degree cars in 100 degree heat on 100 degree pavement you will be pissed! No water or shade and most locations.
Norcal was a complete mess thanks to a guy that is no longer there, thankfully. Then they fired the only guy that tried to make it right. Go figure.
