Pros

The break room has Starbucks coffee and free soda

Cons

Director and management are clueless. The left hand never knows what the right hand is doing. Management only recognizes and recommends people who they "like" to the director for promotions and raises. You can work your butt off doing everything ask of you and THEN SOME and never get so much as a THANK YOU. Director is more of a dictator and combined with management they don't listen or do anything about situations until the fire is an inferno and totally out of control. If you are a man or woman of color you HAVE NO CHANCE OF ADVANCING in this company. You are underpaid, over worked and OVER LOOKED. Medical benefits are way too expensive and time of is meager. No sick days only accrued PTO which at best aquates to 16 days off a year. This goes fast if you get sick leading people to come to work SICK even when they have the flu!!! VERY HIGH TURN OVER in this department!

This place is toxic

Pros

Made some amazing friends in the time I’ve been here. Great place to work if you’re willing to sell your soul and fit the disgusting mold management requires.

Cons

Management is toxic and narcissistic. The VP is a terrible leader. The company claims work life balance and inclusion. That is the farthest from the truth. Offered pto and vacation time, but questioned every time you need to use it. Reprimanded if you discuss your salary with a college. Many employees are upset about the lack of pay due to the rising cost of living. New employees are coming in making more than those who have been at the company for a while. The office environment is going to cause the employees who work hard and do a good job to leave. Many employees make constant mistakes that need correcting, and yet the employees who put out amazing work get outcasted because they don’t fit the mold. Have to be fake and chipper to be appreciated by leadership. They claim to want to promote from within but are always hiring outside managers who come in and make unnecessary changes. The pay is average at best. The benefits are a joke, 1/3 of each paycheck goes to cover health insurance if you have a family you need to insure as well. This company started out a great place to work, but that all changed in the last 4 months. HR is absolutely useless. If a complaint is made about harassment from a coworker, the complainer is the one who gets moved or reprimanded. Favoritism is definitely a huge flaw in the place.

A lot of work is needed

Pros

The standard PTO time is 3 weeks, but you can negotiate for more. Because there is so much work, you are highly unlikely to be laid off. During the summer and winter, there is a casual dress code. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, you get to leave at 3pm on Fridays, if your work is done. There is a lot of food and drink, including alcohol, made available for free and lunches are catered often. There are a lot of knowledgable people here. If you are selected to be mentored, you will learn a lot.

Cons

The company lacks any real diversity program. If you are a white man who plays golf and drinks, you will do very well here. You will be trained, mentored, and promoted quickly. The fewer of those characteristics that apply to you, the less likely you are to move up within the company. They did recently start a corporate and local Diversity and Inclusion Council, but it is for appearances only. No real changes are happening. There are still major issues with racism, sexism, and more that are not being addressed or even talked about in an honest way. The office culture is based on negative feedback. Leadership will always tell you what you are going wrong, and usually in front of others, but does not often provide positive feedback of any kind. The company is not flexible on working from home. It is not allowed. You can have flexible work hours in some cases if your manager approves them. There is a complete lack of work / life balance. You are expected to work around 50 hours per week most of the time and 60 or more per week during peak times. They will call you when you are off and when you are on vacation. The further up you move in the company, the more you are expected to work. Sales and marketing people usually work 7 days per week.
