Horrible place for experienced software engineers

Relaxing, flexible hours. Can always work from home when needed. Not much pressure, fun place to hang out

Cons

middle management sucks like hell, some of the managers possess no integrity and don't care about you promises fall through not enough good experienced engineers no good process for building quality/mature software stock option is a joke compared to other companies if you are an experienced engineer looking for more/better experience, don't come here. Be warned! if you are a fresh grad, it's okay to come here to get some experience.

All the pros are fake and designed to make the workers think the environment is healthy.

Cons

Terrible work/personal life balance. Middle management is ungodly bad - with many of them never managing before in their lives. There's just no experience here. But it goes all the way up to the top. The CEO, CTO, SVP, and VPs really don't know how to 'build a company.' Simply put.

The benefits are good and most of the employees are personable.

Cons

Supervisors/HR jumps to conclusion without knowing the facts. You would think HR would be the first to say, we do not terminate employees unless we hear from them. Unexpectedly had a serious medical problem, and could not communicate with anyone - including family and friends. The company decided to terminate. When I returned home, first thing was to contact company and let them know about medical problem. Rather than the company to be understanding and bring me back (the job was still available and still is as to this day), they stuck with the termination although they knew I had no means of contacting them while I was in the hospital. If that is not insensitive, I don't know what is.
