Pros

Great use of Salesforce, Google Apps, all sorts of cool cloud based systems. If you're "in" with the powers that be, you are in! And great swag.

Cons

Appirio seems to hire massive amounts of people at once. During the extremely long and unnecessarily repetitive interview process, you really think you are special, but then you get to Appirio 101 orientation and see that there are several hundred people there, and frankly, most don't seem all that amazing. The way that works is that most of these people will be let go very, very soon. I was let go after working on just one project, with no warning, or any feedback or counseling from my manager. I repeatedly asked for an evaluation, feedback, advice, anything and was either ignored or told I was doing fine. Then I was given a severance and told that I wasn't needed. Pretty crummy, considering that I left a steady and secure job for Appirio. There are some very nasty and ruthless people in the company who are very aggressive and are high earners. Their abrasiveness is forgiven and overlooked, they are constantly rewarded and recognized as being wonderful. That's very demoralizing. Overall, my experience was awful. I never got any learning or advice, just basically hung around for a while, "shadowing" but not really doing much, then got a project, and was immediately dismissed. My manager was absurdly absent, kind of smiled absentmindedly a lot but gave zero management or oversight. I think honestly I was forgotten about for a while. This is a company that desperately wants to be facebook and ruthlessly hires and fires people in some sort of a "winners take all" mentality where people aren't given any guidance or a chance to learn. If you don't come out of the gate a super star, you are basically done. And this after 10 interviews, you'd think they'd take a bit more care.

Not The Same Since Wipro Took Over

Pros

Used to be The Culture Used to be The Transparency Used to be The Ease of Navigating (systems, processes, internal politics, etc) Used to be The CEO and leadership team

Cons

Diversity and inclusion is a joke. You have a bunch of Indian men who don't respect women or your input and they constantly over promise and under deliver. You will be asked to put together lots of documents they will never consume. Nuisance busy work that doesn't impact the bottom line. Working internally is so daunting and complex. You spend time listening to 'clout' stories..."I know the CEO of XYZ company personally." And it (those relationships) will never help you close business. Collaboration is a joke. The Appirians that stuck around are easier to collaborate with vs. the Wipro folks.

Death of a Culture

Pros

Somewhat decent benefits. Work remotely.

Cons

Wipro's culture has completely replaced Appirio's and not for the better. Appirio was a great place to work but Wipro apparently paid half a billion to kill it. Their mentality is to throw key-punching contractor bodies at projects all for bargain basement rates. Good luck with that! They had 3 years to prepare for system integration between Appirio and Wipro. It was rolled out at the beginning of this year which turned out to be a huge mess. Very little in the Wipro "portal" seems to work as it is supposed to.
