Pros

My colleagues, paycheck, and hopes I get hired elsewhere.

Cons

HR is not investigating managers and their behavior towards employees. It's worst now more than ever. You're constantly put down especially when making small mistakes. Management keeps hiring incompetent people which causes more work on good employees. I come to work with the fear of losing my job every single day in hopes I do not mess up on anything. HR is too busy promoting the LGBT agenda to the company instead of taking care and addressing employee issues and making sure they are comfortable working for the company. Also, the anonymous employee survey is a complete joke and everyone knows it's not anonymous. Aristocrat needs to wake up and start taking care of their employees.

Pros

Fun parties, decent benefits and bonus

Cons

Where do I begin? Terrible culture, all lip service Promotions are 9/10 times due to favoritism Arrogance all over the place Silos Many VPs are bullies towards employees instead of welcoming and helping Feels like there is a lack of growth for women even though they “promote it” they rarely follow through So many cultural issues but no one will address it and allows it to continue HR makes you feel like crap for an issue over being helpful (back to the favoritism) Lack of transparency over everything (biggest red flag when I started and never changed) Lack of transparency during COVID Let’s just say everyone I know who was let go from this place during Covid has done a million times better for themselves (including myself)

Pros

Work life balance and great benefits including compensation. Nice maternity leave benefits, great vacation policy. That's about it! You're lured in by the recruiting team with these incentives, but when you start it's true what they say, " all that glitters is not gold"!

Cons

No trust amongst the HR team, you are constantly warned about what team members you cannot trust, because some of them have direct relationships with the Australian corporate office and will get you fired if they don't like you. Which harbors an environment that creates a lack of security. In my first week I was told, "let's face it none of us are going to retire from here... we're just getting by until we find the next best thing." You will also notice " different strokes for different folks" attitude, no structure or processes in place. Finance department handles many of HR's functions, because of the inconsistencies and lack of trust "the business" has in the HR department. The HR structure is flawed, you feel as though you're set up to fail. HR leadership doesn't care, they too recognize how flawed the department is but when they express their concerns with CHRO, they claim she's not open to hearing feed back and is defensive. So everyone just sits back does the bare minimum to get by and collect a paycheck.
