Pros

Training was valuable. Enjoyed learning process and experiences at Basic. Got to learn alot of new things at Benning

Cons

Mislead about job responsibilities and duties. Not right MOS for me. Recruiter was more interested in filling slots rather than placing me in the right job. Was mislead on the transition into active army.

Pros

Fellow soldiers were great people to work with. The job itself is excellent, fast-paced and constantly changing.

Cons

The good-ol boy system is in place here. The supply sergeant stole from the unit a few years ago and forged soldier's signatures on the TA-50 forms so he wouldn't get caught. This is still on my record and is practically impossible to remove because the current management in charge will not return calls. Did not allow out-of-state soldiers to keep their positions in this low density MOS but a year after removing those soldiers, allowed an outside soldier from another state be part of the unit (this soldier remained living in another state). Poor leadership. Did not take soldier's experience and eduction into consideration and discriminated against the only female in the unit. Did not want to listen to the advice of other soldiers who had more flight hours and combat experience with the system. Removed me from the unit without proper documentation and failed to inform me of my change of status, as per the National Guard Regulations. But because I was no longer in the state, it was hard for me to get someone from JAG to take my case. Stay away from this unit.

Pros

Tricare benefits, Drill Pay,

Cons

Unorganized, micromanaged, no time management, Top Leadership lacks common sense, Drill weekend not planned out by Active Duty, Last minute changes, never get out on time. JUST A HORRIBLE ORGANIZATION TO SERVE IN.
