Pros

Great small company to work at for 1-2 years to gain experience with many different vendors in the gaming industry.

Cons

-Horrible working conditions ~50 employees in 3,000 sq ft office. -Below industry average salary. -Stressful competitive atmosphere. -Daily instability - won't know job duties / work load from one day to the next. -Australian employees hold power over American counterparts. -Working 8:30 to 5:00 is frowned upon, must work over time each day to be considered for advancement in any capacity. -An employee's Knowledge and skill set does not rank as high at bmm as the amount of hours billed per week the individual can undertake. -Job security is never a secure bet. Stories of dedicated and hard working employees that are laid off at the first sight of sector slowdown is a common occurrence.

Pros

The people, the actual test engineers and people you work with are top notch professional. They are hardworking and willing to help.

Cons

You very quickly become disenchanted with the workplace environment in Las Vegas. Executive Management in Las Vegas location is horrible. Boss is a tyrant. Curses on internal calls, belittles his subordinates, makes derogatory statements about his piers and basically all management. He is a control freak, forbids you to speak to people who have information you need to do your job. Constantly contradicts his own directives. Perpetuates silos and purposely fosters lack of communication organization wide. I mean goes out of his way to ensure information is NOT shared. Is sweet as pie when he gets on calls with corporate leaders, he has them all fooled. This guy is the opposite of teamwork and is a miserable man who enjoys creating confusion. If it isn’t HIS idea, it’s crap and he is sure to let you know with plenty of insulting comments about how stupid you are.

Pros

- We get banana bread sometimes I guess. - Good exposure to different areas of gaming. - Flexible PTO and Sick Time.

Cons

This has got to be the worst company I have ever, and will ever work at. Coming from the 'Record breaking profits ' that we seem to make EVERY YEAR. The pay is minimal, raises are scarce. As a matter of fact, good luck getting a raise based on actual performance... If they aren't already late on giving those they will probably be 1%-5% at that. This company recruits college graduates and milks them dry until they can cycle back to another round of new hires who just need a job. You will be buried in 'billables', stressing every single day on how you can fill out your 8 hour time sheet accurately. And heavens forbid you have a single hour that is billed to bmm and not the client, you will be interrogated like you committed murder. To top that off. the processes at bmm are horrible, They change almost weekly, and there is always some kind of new issue that slows work down. The horrible CEO, has made promise after promise after promise of some kind of positive change to the company and in all my time working there, not a single one was fulfilled. bmm loves to let clients walk all over the engineering teams as well, in the name of one upping our competitors and turning a profit of course. The client is always right, and you are always wrong. Don't expect any of the C suite to stand up for these teams either, they usually bend to any clients demands and just make things worse. I watched the work culture here go from great to absolutely abysmal. There is no work culture anymore. I am not even going to bother to explain what poor excuse for work culture this company has. This review has been enough of my time wasted on this abysmal place. Don't work here.
